Around the turn of the millennium the Sparrow drew a lot of attention, and its unusual shape made it a natural for the screen. Most of its cameos cast it as a futuristic vehicle. Then came the Austin Powers movie, Goldmember.

A lark that paid off
When the studio approached Corbin Motors, the team was not sure what the filmmakers had in mind. Given the tone of the earlier Austin Powers films, they expected something playful and agreed to take part. As the company put it afterward, the studio did not disappoint.
The Sparrow's petite size and rounded body stood out in any crowd, which is exactly what a comedy needs from a prop car. The photos in this gallery come from that period and remain a favorite memory from the Corbin Motors years.
