Audi TT Specs, Engines & Dimensions (2010–2014) — Second Generation Restyling
The restyled second-generation Audi TT keeps its compact sports-car character in Coupe and Roadster form, pairing a low, aluminium-intensive body with everyday usability and a choice of turbocharged engines suited to both relaxed commuting and enthusiastic driving.
Each Audi TT engine is turbocharged, so strong pull arrives early rather than at high revs. A 1.8 Coupe with manual gearbox and front-wheel drive suits drivers who like simplicity, while 2.0 versions with the S-tronic dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive add quicker shifts and surer traction; diesel powertrains favour economy over outright response.
Audi TT trim levels sit on top of the technical version rather than replacing it: the 1.8 manual Coupe is offered in Base equipment, which already covers the essentials expected of a sports coupe. Much of the appeal came from options, so two cars sharing one engine can differ widely in seats, lighting and infotainment.
