Saturn Relay engine choices include the gasoline 3.5 AT and 3.9 AT, both paired with an automatic transmission to ease stop-start driving. The 3.5 AT comes in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive forms, while the selected 3.9 AT uses front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive can help you pull away on slippery surfaces, but does not shorten braking distances.
