Every Skoda Rapid engine here is petrol and drives the front wheels. The 1.4 DSG pairs a small turbocharged unit with a fast-shifting robotic gearbox for economy, while the 1.6 AT uses a traditional automatic that feels smoother in slow traffic. Other powertrain combinations were also offered.
