Comfort and Convenience
Seating position is a matter of personal preference. Height, leg length and the habit of sitting upright or more reclined all vary, so an arrangement that suits one driver can feel wrong to another sharing the same car.
Safety and Driver Assistance
Before travelling, it is worth locating the lights, wipers, demister and hazard switches while parked. Doing so early means fewer unfamiliar reaches later, particularly when the weather turns or an unplanned stop becomes necessary.
Multimedia and Connectivity
Keeping a phone charged on a long drive is a separate need from playing music or handling calls. Where a car provides a charging point, it will not necessarily be the same route used for audio or telephone functions.
