The first-generation Geely GS is a five-door crossover offered with both gasoline and fully electric powertrains, letting buyers choose between familiar running costs and battery motoring within one compact SUV body.
Geely GS engine choices in this generation span two very different approaches. The 1.8 MT combines a gasoline unit with a manual gearbox and front-wheel drive, while the 1.8 DCT keeps the same fuel but uses a robotic dual-clutch transmission for easier city driving. The AT 61.9 kWh replaces the engine with an electric drivetrain.
Geely GS trim levels sit on top of the mechanical package rather than changing it. The 1.8 DCT, for example, is offered as Comfort and Luxury: identical gasoline engine and robotic transmission underneath, with the higher trim concentrating on interior comfort and convenience equipment.
