Time spent learning where the main controls sit before setting off is rarely wasted. Lights, wipers and the hazard switch are quicker to find when they have been located once while parked.

A phone running low on charge mid-journey is a familiar annoyance, so a charging point within reach is useful. Calls are a separate matter, as is playing music, and each has its own controls.
